Yarn Along: What I've been upto

Last week I did not post my updates and adventures with yarn.
But this week, I made sure to take pictures so I could show you what going on here.
I can totally say that am in love with crocheting.
This little hobby that I discovered many years ago but only decided to work on a few months ago.
I absolutely love it people.
I dont know what it is but I love crochet.
I cant get enough yarn and I keep looking for more projects to immerse my hands into.
Onto the projects:
I started this small ripple blanket and am working on it slowly..no hurry. Its my go to project when I have nothing else to crochet.

Next up: my first cowl/infinity scarf.

Lets just be honest, I always wanted one but I was too lazy to make it.
Now I did one and I cannot get enough.
I wore it Yesterday when it was raining hard and the cold was biting.
Am now making larger ones, that wrap around the neck at-least once or twice.
Some people have asked some questions about what I make and now am dreaming of opening an etsy shop [encouragement would be highly appreciated]
Anyway, on Thursday am off to celebrate my sister’s graduation. Lots of traveling, then I get to go to my parents for Christmas and am so excited.
It is truly the season to be happy and jolly.
Hope you are having lots of fun and preparing for Christmas…lots of food, laughter and overall joy!
Love you loves!

Yarn Along:Crochet Basket

I feel so bad right now….I’ve become a pretty terrible blogger lately!
I was a little busy over the weekend!
I went to my parents on Saturday and I only came back Yesterday!
Not much blogging could get done considering I was loving the whole spending time with family thing!
Anyway, am back…
On that note, not much crocheting has been going down over the past week but I still have something to share with you.
{Oh and by the way, I went home with my cute little crochet purse and my mum was so jealous, she pulled out her hook and yarn and started making her own.Feels good to be an inspiration. By the way, she is so gooood}
I have been thinking about organizing my crochet hooks and supplies considering that they can get a little messy all over the house. Knitters and crocheters know what I mean. Once you pull that yarn and the other, and thus hook and the other, and then the thread and needle, it can get pretty messy.
So, I decided to make a small basket for my hooks and needles and some yarn.

I love it already and has been a huge help. Am even thinking of making a bigger one as soon as I get some beautiful yarn.

So, we all have an immense power inside ourselves.
Its the power to create things.
We are different, we have different desires..
We crave different things
But we all desire to create something beautiful…
This is why we begin projects, we treasure the..
We nurture them and when we see the finished product…..
WE SMILE
Create something and you will just find yourself smiling..

Today I want to share with you a small, little hat that I made for my newest nephew [Miguel]
I love how it turned out and just hope he loves it as much as I do…

Have a Lovely Wednesday!

Cute Little Purse

Hi there…
Hope your week is perfect so far and if not..no worries, just two more days.
Have you noticed the changes on my blog?
I would love, love to hear what you think. Any ideas, criticism and comments are welcome.
Moving along, I have been wanting to expand my crochet repertoire..You know…
Its not nice to stay at the beginner phase for too long lest the interest fades
What better place to find inspiration that Pinterest {I swear that place is addictive, once you start, there is no going back]
Anyway, I found this cute little purse and I immediately wanted to make it.

I didn’t have any idea what it would turn out like since am not yet a pro but I gotta say…I think I did a pretty good job. [nothing boosts the ego than blowing your own trumpet, lol]

Jokes aside….This is some of the yarn that Libby sent me and I have been putting it to good use. This video helped a lot as I was able to follow the instructions really nicely. Thank you Yolanda.

Am even making another purse for my sister. I will definitely be making many more for my mom and cousins.

What are you making right now?Are you surprising yourself like me?
Hope so..
